Saturday 8th February saw an LDAA Open Match at the Upper Witham, with the venue placed upon the Coulson Road stretch of the river.
Anglers found the river running very hard and with a cold downstream wind making good presentation difficult. Dave Ashmoor followed up his win from the previous weeks match on the Fossdyke Canal with another good victory.
Dave drew downstream end peg 141 and finished the match with 24lb of roach on the whip to bread punch. Runner up was Nathan Watson off peg 139 with 14lb 7oz of roach to pole fished again to bread punch with John Hackney taking third place off peg 137 with 13lb of roach, yes you guessed it - bread punch!
