It has been an absolute delight and pleasure for all LDAA participants to have been part of the Saxilby Parish Council Waterfront event this year.  The single day event was cancelled last year due to COVID, so all involved were keen to make up for lost time, with 3 events planned over this years summer school holidays.

Attendances grew, culminating in 20 children and 2 adults taking part in the third and final event that took place on Saturday 4 Sep. Albeit conditions for bait presentation was difficult given the extent of the floating weed, everyone as in the two previous events caught fish – several achieving double figures, quantity of fish, not weight!

LDAA Committee would like to thank all who assisted in making this event the success that it was (you know who you are, including you Justin). We hope you and others will join us again in next year’s event and other projects that we will be organising in the not too distant future.

Here is just one of the many plaudits we have received; Good evening.
Thank you to the lovely people yesterday for letting my boys have a go at fishing. They really enjoyed it. Brendan really made it fun for my youngest, (name withheld), and now all he wants to do is fish. Thank you again for your time. I would love to bring them to any other events that you have on for children. Is there anything else this year?”

A picture paints a thousand words, with permission from the respective child’s parent/guardian; below in the gallery are a few pictures that were taken.
