Information- LDAA holds fishing rights from Brayford Pool in Lincoln through to Torksey Lock.
- Closed Fishing Season: 15 March to 15 June inclusive.

Suggested fishing areas along this long stretch are;
1. Golf Course Stretch at the rear of Cartholme Golf Course.
2. Stretch adjacent to the Pyewipe Inn, LN1 2BG.
3. Stretch adjacent to Woodcocks at Burton Water, LN1 2BE.
4. Opposite A5 7 Café, LN1 2BB.
5. Fertiliser Stretch, Saxilby Road, LN1 2FU.
6. Saxilby, Bridge St, LN1 2PZ.
7. Rear of Saxilby Spice, Gainsborough Rd, Saxilby, LN1 2LX.
8. Drisney Nook, Gainsborough Rd / A57 intersection.


ParkingDue to the extensive length that the Fossdyke covers, parking areas have not been specified. Suitable parking and access is available for those stretches indicated above.

Association Rules

ALL fish must be returned to the water alive, unless written permission is given by the committee prior to removal. This rule supersedes any national byelaw etc that may otherwise permit fish removal. Anybody removing fish from an LDAA water, without prior permission, is committing an offence under the Theft Act 1968. LDAA will ALWAYS take legal action against anybody violating this rule.

Do not cause damage to property, fences, trees, or banks of the water at LDAA venues Wherever possible, LDAA will take legal action against individuals under the Criminal Damage Act 1971 if this rule is violated.

The carrying or discharging of firearms is prohibited.

Open fires are strictly prohibited at all of our venues.

No parking on the banks at any time - please use a suitable and valid parking space.

The following baits are not to be used on LDAA waters: live fish; bloodworm; joker; whole tiger nuts.

Fishing is to be avoided where boats are moored, i.e. summer and permanent moorings.

No fishing from boats, kayaks, or any other form of watercraft is to take place within LDAA waters.

Discard of litter appropriately. Please use a suitable bin, or take your litter home with you.
