It has come to the attention of the LDAA committee that an individual has been approaching anglers asking to see day tickets. We believe this is with the intention to sell day tickets.

While LDAA bailiffs possess the right to check for membership cards/proof of membership and sell day tickets there are some easy giveaways to determine if somebody who is claiming to be a bailiff is genuine or not. These are as follows:

  • The bailiff may be wearing maroon-coloured jackets and/or t-shirts which possess the LDAA logo, the Whisby Angling Supplies logo and states bailiff on their clothing
  • A genuine LDAA bailiff should carry a photographed card that states that they are either a bailiff or a committee member and these should be in date
  • If you are purchasing a day ticket, you will receive a LDAA branded day ticket

If you are approached by an individual that claims to be a bailiff or committee member you are well within your right to request to see identification if they aren't wearing LDAA branded attire or doesn't willingly present their identification at the first interaction.

If you are suspicious that an individual is acting fraudulently, then please report this immediately by emailing info@lincolnangling.org stating the following details:

  • Date and time range of encounter
  • Location of encounter
  • Detailed description of what they look like
  • A rough transcript of the discussion
