Lincoln and District Angling Association hosted The Fossdyke Championship on Saturday 23 December 2023 and on the day the competitors found the Canal in festive mood.
Apart from a strong westerly wind blowing straight down the canal conditions were perfect.
It was the very consistent Lincoln angler, John Small who lifted the Trophy with a brilliant 16lb 15oz of mainly roach to pinkie fished short off peg 3 at the Bridge. Runner up on the day was Dave Ashmoor off peg 2 again at the Bridge with a very close 16lb 3oz of mainly roach again to pinkie fished short. It was Boston's Alistar Olgvie who took third place off peg 5 at the Bridge with 15lb 9oz of roach short to pinkie.
