This was the penultimate match in this six match series. As all winter, the canal was very heavily coloured and conditions were far from ideal with anglers taking to the banks in the grips of Storm Dennis.
Nathan Watson finally found some form fishing off Peg 2 at the Bridge, taking 3 large perch in total. One of these was caught on lobworm, one on pinkie at 7m, and one on maggot at 13m. Coming in at 1st place with this haul, Nathan weighed in at 9lb in total.
Runner up was Dave Hiley off the neighbouring Peg 1 with 6lb 14oz of small roach and perch to groundbait and pinkie at 5 metres. A close third was Rob Thorley with 5lb 15oz.
After 5 rounds, it's still to fish for with Malc Firmstone leading with 33 points, Alan Houlton second place with 32 points and Chris Elsom in third with 26 points.
