This Saturday 13th January 24 saw Lincoln and District Angling Association host Round One of The Johnson and Smith Winter League on the Fossdyke Navigation.
On the day the canal looked in good order after the recent flood's but for some bite's were still hard to come by in the lower sections. Once again it was the Bridge section which dominated the weigh boards. It was Grimsby's Dave Ashmoor who once again put in a good performance to take top honour's off peg 6 at the Bridge with 8lb 6oz of mainly roach to groundbait and pinkie fished at 7 metres, In second place was Graham Green (Linc's Match Group) off peg 1 again at the Bridge with 5lb 14oz of roach to caster and maggot at 6 metres with Lincoln's Paul Wilson making up the frame with 5lb 7oz off peg 4 at the Bridge.
Section Winners were A. Section Steve Wilford 5lb. B. Section John Small 5lb 4oz. C. Section Rob Thorley 1lb 2oz.
