Lincoln and District Angling Association hosted Round Two of The Johnson and Smith Winter League this Saturday 20th January 24 on the Fossdyke Navigation at Saxilby.

On the day the 14 competitors found the canal frozen solid, so it was ice breakers to the for to make a suitable area to fish and apart from that conditions were perfect if not a bit cold.

Top man on the day was John Small (Linc's Match Squad) off peg 7 at the Bridge with a cracking 12lb10oz of roach, John fished groundbait and pinkie at 11 metres for his winning weight. In second place was Alister Ogilvie (Boston) with 10lb11oz of roach again to groundbait and pinkie at 9 metres off peg 5 on the Roadside with Paul Wilson (Lincoln) enjoying a good run of form finishing in third place with 8lb 4oz of roach and perch off peg 3 at the Bridge peg.Section Winners.
