This Saturday saw Lincoln and District Angling Association host round four of The Johnson and Smith Winter League on the Fossdyke Navigation at Saxilby.
On the day, the the match was fished in near perfect conditions apart from an occasionally blustery west wind. It was Paul Cannon (Goole) who made it back to back wins in the league, by taking the the top weight off peg 3 at the Bridge. Paul fished groundbait and pinkie at 8 and 11 metres to finish with 10lb 8oz of Roach and Perch for his win. Not far behind in second spot was Steve Wilford (Lincoln) off peg 1 again at the Bridge with 10lb of Roach to groundbait and pinkie at 8 metres with Dave Ashmoor (Grimsby) making up the frame off peg 7 at the Bridge with a very close 9lb 12oz.
Section winners were: A Section Neil Fletcher 9lb 4oz, B Section John Small 7lb 7oz, C Section Paul Wilson 3lb 5oz.League after four rounds is John Small and Paul Cannon both on 26 points, Dave Ashmoor and Rob Thorley both on 23 points with Graham Green on 20 points.
