8 October 2023, saw the return of LDAA Bailiffs Vs. the Lincolnshire Junior Angling Academy on the Fossdyke Canal at Drinsey Nook.

In what proved to be a tricky day for anglers, it was the Juniors that took the bragging rights by 6oz.

The majority of the participating angler’s weights came in the first hour then it largely shut off for the remainder of the match. Regardless, the juniors reigned champions over their LDAA Bailiff counterparts.

With roach, skimmers, dace, and perch mainly being caught throughout the day, it was a very enjoyable day which started off at Sunny’s in Saxilby for the draw and a delicious breakfast from the ever-pleasant Steph.

We wish to thank all that took part and congratulate the juniors who showed much experience in truly difficult conditions. From the youngest to the eldest anglers in the juniors team, they did the LJAA proud while their resilience and perseverance is testament to their LJAA coaches who work tirelessly in coaching them.

A big thank also goes to LDAA Honorary Member, Keith Clifton who came and supported anglers and was present to independently weigh all nets.
