Lincoln and District Angling Association held an Open Match on the Fossdyke Navigational Canal, Saturday 15th January. In respect to the fact that there had been 4 consecutive nights of frost prior to the match, it produced a competitive result.
Top man on the day was Lincoln's Rob Thorley off Peg 1 at the Bridge with 7lb of roach and perch, caster fished at 13 metres.
Second place resulted in a tie between Rylan Neal (Lincoln) and Dave Ashmoor (Grimsby), both anglers weighing 4lb 3oz.
Rylan fished chopped worm at 13 and 6 metres for a mainly a perch net, while Dave fished groundbait and pinkie and bread punch at 11 metres for a net of roach.
