LDAA & WHISBY ANGLING SUPPLIES WINTER LEAGUE 2020
The penultimate round of the league was fished this Saturday on a perfect looking canal in very good conditions.
On the day it turned out to be a very tight and competitive match with over 50lb of fish from one 5 peg section. It was Shane Spraggins who took top honours with 11lb 6oz off peg 7 on the Roadside, Shane fished chopped worm down the tins for some good perch and groundbait and pinkie at 5 metres for roach.
Not far behind was Dale Whelan from the next peg, 6 on the Roadside with 11lb 4oz, again perch down the tins to worm and roach to groundbait and pinkie at 5 metres. Finally in third place it was Dave Coster off peg 5 at the Bridge with 10lb 9oz of mainly roach to the pole and pinkie and the waggler fished over with caster - his catch also included a fine perch also taken on the waggler.
The League with one match remaining is Dale Whelan on 31 points, Shane Spraggins on 29 points and Rob Thorley with 28 points - but it could all change when the droppers come off.
