LDAA has been working on securing this lease for the past few months; we are now pleased to announce that it will open 01 Aug.  Work commenced in earnest today with much groundwork being completed, thanks to a small select group – select due to the specialised work that was planned and small in order to comply with COVID working ethics for all concerned.

This venue had not been leased for several years and is in need of a fair degree of refurbishment. Today, we improved farm track accessibility (ongoing) and created a car park. Attention was given to several troublesome overhangs and a few trees were removed with pegs being generally 'opened up' a little - all under the direction and guidance of the venue owner.

The local community came out in force, overwhelmingly supporting LDAA for taking on its lease and commencing the improvements. The resident Kingfisher burrow was given a wide berth as we progressed with our work. All that remains in the coming week or two is to build steps to what is assessed to be at present - unsafe peg access. Platforms will need replacing and renovating with a secure gate with Combination Lock fitted to the venue entrance.

This is very much work in progress; a 10 peg venue, teeming with fish (as tested by 2 LDAA members over the previous weeks). It will be an LDAA Members Only venue with No Night Fishing.  LDAA stresses that this new venue is not to be fished until 01 Aug as is not safe to do so. Two local anglers and residents, upon hearing that LDAA had submitted an interest, kindly volunteered to bailiff the water.

Exact location and venue specific information will be posted to the closed LDAA Member Zone Facebook page and this Website within the next 10 days, exciting times ahead.

Individuals who have subsequently been inconvenienced with having to purchase DayTickets whilst LDAA had a closed membership period, are requested to email the LDAA Secretary(ladaasecretary@gmail.com) with proof of any such Day Ticket outlay, this will be deducted from the purchase of a new membership. It was never the intention of LDAA to benefit financially from having, what was deemed to be insufficient venue capacity. With immediate effect, the website PayPal facility is back open for membership applications - as is payments via Lincoln & Gainsborough tackle dealers and from our friendly bailiff's bankside.

To those that assisted today and that tested the venue in previous weeks – a big thank you from LDAA Secretary, you will be publicly named and thanked when we go ‘live’.
