This Saturday saw Lincoln and District Angling Association host the Frank Butler Memorial Match which was kindly sponsored by Johnson and Smith Civils on the Bridge and Roadside sections of the Fossdyke Navigation.

On a cold and dank day, it was Lincoln's Alan Houlton who took the honours off Bridge section, Peg 3. Alan fished down the track with worm over worm, caster and maggot for a mixed bag of 8lb 4oz which included a fine perch and decent a skimmer.

Match Winner - Alan Houlton

Not far behind in second place was the very consistent Dave Ashmoor (Grimsby) with a mainly roach net of 7lb 8oz off Peg 8 on the Roadside to groundbait and pinkie at 8 metres.

Second Place - Dave Ashmoor

There was a tie for third place with both Dave Hiley (Mansfield Woodhouse) and Mark Griggs (Boston) taking 7lb 7oz to the scales. Dave fished at 13 metres with maggot off Peg 10 on the Roadside while Mark fished groundbait and pinkie at 8 metres off Peg 9 in what was a very close section.

Match organiser John Blades would like to thank Johnson & Smith for their sponsorship of this match.
