This Saturday saw round three of The Whisby Angling Supplies Saturday League 23 take part on the Fossdyke Navigation at Saxilby.
On a very cold but bright day, the 24 competitors were looking forward to the sport the canal offered in the previous week's match, but once again the venue failed to deliver.
It was the Bridge section that once again took all the top honours. Lincoln's Paul Wilson was top man on the day of peg 4 at the Bridge with a straight 6lb of mainly roach to groundbait and pinkie at 8 metres and worm and pinkie fished over at 14 metres.
In a very close second was match organiser John Blades (Lincoln) with 5lb 15oz of roach to groundbait and pinkie fished at 11 metres of peg 5 again at the Bridge.
In third spot was Keith Clifton (Lincoln) of peg 2 at the Bridge with 5lb of mainly roach to groundbait and pinkie at 8 metres and a bonus perch to worm down the tins with Steve Wilford (Lincoln) making up the frame of peg 6 at the Bridge with 4lb 10oz.
